In the 2021-2022 season of ISL football, Kerala Blasters FC (Kerala Blasters FC) has entered the field with a great forward line-up. Argentina's Jorge Pereira Diaz and Spain's Alvaro Vasquez scored eight goals each and provided three assists. The success of this progressive alliance took Kerala Blasters FC to the finals. Therefore, with only days left for the 2022-2023 Season ISL, the strength of Kerala Blasters FC's forward line has to be checked at least on paper. The kickoff of the 2022-2023 ISL (Indian Super League) football season is on October 7 between Kerala Blasters FC and East Bengal Club (Kerala Blasters FC x East Bengal) at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi.
Forward
Kerala Blasters FC have six players on their forwards list for the 2022-2023 ISL season. Only two of them are from abroad. Australian center forward Apostolas Giannu and Greek center forward Dimitrios Diamantakos. The remaining three are young Indian players. Bidyashagar Singh from Manipur, Subha Ghosh from Kolkata and Muhammad Aiman from Malayali. Mohammad Ayman was the closest to being called up to the senior team.
Dimithors
Dimitrios Diamantakos is likely to be the spearhead of Kerala Blasters FC for the 2022-2023 season as things have been going so far. The 29-year-old Greek center forward scored for Kerala Blasters FC in both the official pre-season friendlies. The goals of the Greek player were against Al Jazeera Al Hamra FC in UAE and against MA College Kothamangalam in Panambilly Nagar. Dimitrios Diamantakos is a box player with all the precision of a number nine.
Australian-Greek center forward Apostolos Giannou is an intelligent player. Although he prefers to play in the center forward position, Apostolas Gianu will also play in the second striker and right wing positions. Apostolas Giannu was the second striker behind Dimitrios Diamantakos in Kerala Blasters FC 2022-2023 pre-season friendlies. Apostolos Giannou's task is to score with Diamantakos and score where he fails.
